I LOVE this time of year!
All the designers are coming up with new fabrics and patterns to release at Market AND there is the BLOGGERS QUILT FESTIVAL run by Amy over at Amys Creative Side!!! YAY!!!
I couldn't decide on which quilt to blog about, I have a few favs at the moment that i just love and have a story to go with them but I have decided to tell you about my Parisville Quilt.
I am absolutely hopeless about coming up with names for my quilts. They usually get named after either the pattern I use or the fabric I've chosen. How's that for exciting! ;)
Anyway, This fabric range so many amazing fabrics that each could be a feature fabric in any quilt. How do you showcase a range like that???
I decided to give "Sweet Garden" by Carolina Patchworks a go.
Not knowing how it was going to look, I thought I'd try the first block out to see what it would look like. You know those nerves you get when you first start cutting into your fat quarters? Argh!
Luckily, I loved that HUGE first block. so then I cut more fabric and kept sewing.
Bit by bit.
I know this is a "busy" quilt but I love it! I love the Purple sashings,
I love the faces peeking through, I love the size... Everything!
I would definitely recommend the pattern to anyway that wanted to give it a go. It was so much fun to make!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you are enjoying all of the gorgeous quilts through the festival!

I love this quilt!! It's the perfect pattern for Parisville. The eggplant sashing is so rich and yummy. I love the photos of it coming together. Happy Festival!
Yay, love your quilts and your blog, glad I found you...
Great quilt! Great showcase for those pretty fabrics! I've been mulling over a similar quilt myself, but...so many quilts, so little time!
It's going to be fabulous. I love the colors and the way the designs get shown off so nicely.
I love this quilt too Kelli. It's gorgeous. "Busy" is my favourite kind of quilting!
Wow, I love this pattern, so fun! You did a fantastic job with this quilt, it looks great. Love that purple sashing! :)
Bright and fun- just like you ;)
What a wonderful quilt:)
Thats how I usually name my quilts too. Sometimes they never get a name.
This quilt is awesome! I love it!
Amazing - love the purple sashing....even though I did think it was black in the first photo!!!
I could look at this all day, it's awesome! That really is quite the fabric collection!
The sashing is a great choice with this fabric. That was a lot of piecing to get this top put together and the results are excellent.
Oh this is amazing! I love Parisville and did my own king size in it. But this is fantastic! I love that you have so many of the different fabrics represented. And the big fussy cut cameos are fabulous. Great work!
Very nice! I made a baby quilt in a similar style. I was surprised, at what impact, such a simple design could be. I am learning how very much I love sashings. Not having to line up the pieces on either side or them, but you know!!
I don't find this quilt busy at all. It's all about the pretty fabric. The fussy cutting must have taken forever! It was worth it. Beautiful quilt!!
Gorgeous quilt, you picked the perfect pattern to showcase all these pretty fabrics!
Kelli it's beautiful! I love the sashing too!
What a striking quilt!
You used my favorite color for the sashing. It is a great use of those fabrics you hate to cut. Thanks for stopping by my Blog! And thanks to AMY for putting this together so we can meet up with bloggers from all over!
Your fabrics are great! And your sashing really showcases them. I'm always looking for ways to use large prints and this looks like one of them.
Love what you did with this fabric Kelly! Fabulous!
They are indeed busy fabrics but the seemingly randomness of the sasshing makes everything so neat and makes for a stunning quilt!
The BQF is no good for a quilting novice like me - too many great ideas; too little time! LOL
It was a great pattern to showcase the fabrics. It looks fabulous. Way to go.
I love how this turned out! The fabric's "busyness" really makes it look like a gorgeous stained glass quilt. :D
This is a great quilt! I love the big blocks and I hadn't really seen the Parisville fabric in all its spendour before. Lovely!
You made both the fabric and the pattern sing with joy. Beautiful quilt.
I think this was the perfect pattern to showcase these super cool, edgy fabrics! Way to go!
I love it. Very striking.
Beautiful! I love this quilt and was just thinking about using this pattern to make one for myself.
This quilt came out looking just great; busy is good!
It's beautiful. I have a fandango layer cake and might just need to try this pattern with it! Nice job. Thanks for sharing and have a great day
This is a spectacular quilt. Love your fabric choice, too.
Wow, great quilt! I love the purple sashing too! And the fabrics are fabulous!
Sooo pretty!
Beautiful! It is so hard to make that first cut! I am glad you did it it looks great.
I love your quilt! The pattern is great.
Actually, I think the purple sashing keeps it from being too busy and it's quite a pretty quilt. :)
Kelli I adore this quilt! You did a terrific job! And it's not just because I love purple.

Kelli this quilt is coming out awesomely! I'm in the same boat when it comes to naming quilts. Thank you for sharing!
This is really a nice one.
I looked through all the quilts on the blog after you left me a message. It is really funny that so far away we came up with really similar designs for the same fabric line. I have to tell our taste seems to be quite similar. I really like all your pattern and fabric choices.
I love it, and funny that it is similar to mine also, partly as I was also inspired by Carolina Patchworks patterns, and I used a bit of Parisville too. I love the dark sashing, it looks fabulous. Great quilt!
That is one awesome quilt! Thnaks for sharing
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful!
