Lest We Forget.

Today in Australia and New Zealand is ANZAC day. I just want to take a moment to remember and honor every person of every nationality that we have lost to war.
Lest We Forget.

My son is part of our local Army Cadets. It is such a fantastic program and he has got to experience so much in the few years he's been doing it!

This morning, like previous years, he marched in the dawn service parade. Funny that he got up at 4 am, then wearing just his cams ( no undershirt, jumper etc), standing around waiting to march in the cold and the only thing he complained about was me wanting photos!
Pfft! He should know better than that by now ;)

I laughed out loud about the photo complaints. The cadets are a great thing for your son to be part of. I was going to make Anzac biscuits but ran out of time, I might make some on the weekend.

My son was in the air force cadets till this year and he has marched in the city parades the last two years. Funny how they can get up at a ridiculous hour - eat breakfast at 5am or so and then head out to parade locally, then do the city route at least twice carrying a flag pole or banner and don't get home till around 2pm not having had anything to eat since that early breakfast and not complain - but can't get out of bed for school.........Still you have to be so proud of them.
