Jakes Bento Box

How bout that?
2 posts in 2 days!
This is all about Jakeys quilt!

Do you know how hard it is to find black and white fabrics without flowers on them?
OK, well it was harder back when I was buying for this quilt. Now, there are heaps!
always happens that way huh!?!

I think this one got the big nod of approval from the owner as I had to keep stealing it back from him while he was at school so I could finish hand sewing down the binding!

I love that when you look at this pattern, It looks wrong. Your eyes can't stop moving! I thought it was a perfect quilt that he wouldn't grow out of.

It was quilted by the super talented Ladybug Quilting. Thanks Linda!

Love it Kellie, I think I'll make one for hubby and not the wonky Log Cabin.

This looks great, and the quilting takes it up a notch! I love how you added just a wink of blue in there. Very stud-like :-)

I love this quilt Kelli. I keep trying to trace the quilting lines with my eyes too - is it random lines or a pattern I just can't see yet? I'm definately bookmarking this page so I can make one for my little boy. I love the idea that it's something he'll still want to use as a teenager or an adult.

It's a brilliant quilt, I love it totally! It can be really hard to make quilts for teenagers they're just so fussy, unlike me.....I'd take anything you cared to make for me!

It is a great combination of fabrics and design for a boy because he really won't grow out of it. It looks great!

What a great quilt for a boy. He should be able to use it for a long time. I love the colors. You did a great job.

I love this bento box quilt! Maybe this will be the motivation I need to get back to work on one I started over a year ago!

Wow! That's a great quilt. I love the black and white and that you have these bits of blue popping up here and there. That adds to the excitement and makes your eyes move even more. It's a great quilt for a guy!
I always have those fabric buying problems too, wanting patterns or colours that are so hard to find, and when I finally have found all I needed, it seems to be everywhere. We must be such trendsetters, you and I! LOL

Totally agree about finding black and/or brown fabrics without flowers...it should not be that heard. But your quilt turned out beautifully!
