Its that time! Yay!
Amy over at Amy's Creative side, Is hosting a Bloggers quilt festival.
Basically, we all write a blog post about a quilt we have made and then send her the link. Pop over to her blog to see the list of people joining in and check out some awesome quilts!
I started this quilt around the start of the year. I was so excited to get my hands on a Verna honeybun!
You know how it goes... Gotta find just the right pattern for the fabric...
Well, I found a pattern in The Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts book that I really liked, Only problem was that it was made for a jelly roll, Not a honeybun!
So, Out came the graph paper and the coloured pencils. It wouldn't be that hard would it? Sure the blocks would be smaller but you could cut more to a length so that should even out the sizes yeah?
I may have been wrong in my logic. The block at the top of the post is only 6 1/2 inches. Yep, 6 inches finished! 36 pieces in a 6 inch block!!!!
All that aside, I Love Love Love this quilt! It was way worth every tiny teeny piece!
Big Thankyou to Amy for organising such an event and everyone who joins in! Can't wait to check some of them out!

What a gorgeous quilt - a great pattern, stunning fabrics!
Beautiful quilt and very clever use of a honeybun!
Cute quilt!
This is gorgeous - I love it! One of the best so far...
I'm a big fan of Verna - so spring-like and fresh and I love it combined with white. This is such a pretty quilt.
More Verna--yum--I love Kate Spain's fabrics! The design is very fresh and cool, and the Verna works well with it. I had to laugh when you substituted the honey bun for a jelly roll--I did the same thing making an apron--felt like it took forever. I like the way you pieced the backing as well. :-)
Oh my! That was a lot of piecing! But, the results were worthwhile!
Your quilt is so lovely!
Your math sounds like my math! LOL :o)
But it was all worth because your quilt looks amazing!
Beautiful! Such a sweet print. This quilt is simply fabulous. I can why you love it so much.
Beautiful. I also love the back.

Amazing quilt from such tiny pieces!
This is beautiful! I love the colours against the white background. Very pretty.
Thanks for dropping by my blog too :)
Wow, I love the colors against the white. Happy Birthday too!! I'll have to keep that in mind about honey buns and jelly rolls. I didn't think it would be that big of a difference, but I guess it is!!
6" finished? Great job, Kelli!
I'm not surprised you love it, but I can't even imagine working with pieces as small as you were using.
Your quilt is beautiful! I have a honeybun that I am agonizing over a pattern for and I love that you adjusted a jellyroll pattern for a honeybun. Did you get this all out of 1 honeybun???

Wow Kelli, those blocks are tiny, great work and a beautiful quilt!! Oh yes I love anything Verna....
Kelli, This is absolutely amazing! Really, I am smitten with it. What is the name of the book you got the pattern out of? Can I copy you? Just stunning!
Absolutely adore the quilt
Love Verna and what a fantastic way to show off all the gorgeous fabric, love your quilt, Lis x
That IS a gorgeous quilt! Great choice of fabrics -- and I love working with little tiny pieces, so I can see why you think it was worth it . . . good job!
Beautiful! Love the fabric choices and I'm impressed you managed to resize it for a honeybun. Fabric maths is not my forte!
Wow, it looks amazing! It was well worth the time and effort you buy into it!
Gorgeous.
So pretty! Amazed at your resizing. And I love that Verna fabric.
Have just found your blog through Ariane
Ariane was a swap partner of mine about a year ago
i love how the lines move on this quilt--it's fascinating that straight lines can create curvy ones!! colors are wonderul also
Love it - it's my favorite
I love this quilt. Soft and pink, and oh my gosh small blocks. I love the curving of the pattern.
Oh wow! The finished overall look is amazing! When I first saw the block alone, I liked it, but once they form a continuous pattern, I LOVE it.
Great job reworking the pattern, I like how the blocks interlock and the secondary white stars in the intersections.
